Product Information
Skykleen 1000 is inherently biodegradable, nonhalogenated, and nonozone depleting, minimizes VOC emissions and is classified as non-hazardous waste under RCRA. SkyKleen 1000 is also easy to work with because it has a low odour, does not adversely affect metals, leaves no residue, evaporates slowly, and is both non-combustible and non-caustic. As an aviation solvent, it’s applications include adhesive and epoxy removal, carbon epoxy composite surface cleaning, and carbon removal from brake and piston housings. It is also suitable for degreasing, engine cleaning, fiberglass resin removal, final cleaning prior to painting and bonding, and general surface cleaning. It is also effective for polysulfide sealant removal (both cured and uncured), as well as RTV and Skydrol removal. SkyKleen 1000 replaces many traditional solvents and cleaners, including MEK, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, Freon, 1-1-1 trichloroethane, caustic cleaners, stoddard solvent, mineral spirits, and d-limonene based citrus cleaners.
